Furever Yoga
By Brisbane Bernedoodles and Groodles Australia · Puppy socialisation

Mindful moments
with our puppies.

Proudly supported by Brisbane Bernedoodles and Groodles Australia. Each puppy you meet is six to seven weeks old, joining us for just two or three sessions during their time here as part of the gentle socialisation program we’ve built around them. With calm company, quiet breath, and a warm room, we hope you’ll leave feeling wonderfully unwound, while they leave a little braver and more ready for the world they’re growing into.

The Zen Experience

Built around the wellbeing of everyone in the room, including the four-legged ones.

Puppy yoga is only as good as how the puppies are treated when the class isn’t running. These are our own Bernedoodle and Groodle puppies, our own program, our own room, built with the kind of care we’d want for our own, and we hope it sets a gentle example for others. Here is what we care about most, and hold to in every single class.

  • A safe, sanitised room

The studio is sanitised between every class. Our puppies are vet-checked, kept inside a welfare framework you can read in full, and step off the mat the moment they want to.

  • Our welfare team in the room

Our breeder, handlers, and trainers are with us in the room for every class, and caring for the puppies is their whole and only focus. Your yoga teacher is free to gently lead your flow, so that no one is ever asked to do two jobs at once.

  • Built for our puppies first

Each puppy joins us at six to seven weeks of age for just two or three studio sessions during their time here. Calm company, quiet breath, and gentle, safe touch are exactly what their developing nervous systems need most. The class is wonderfully yours to enjoy too, yet the whole program was lovingly designed around them.

  • Thirty minutes after every class

Your hour gently includes refreshments, photos, and unhurried floor-time with the puppies and the team who lovingly raise them, so that you’ll always leave feeling you had time enough to truly savour it.

How a class actually goes

No chanting and no pressure, simply a gentle hour you’ll always remember.

Most guests arrive feeling a little unsure of what to expect, and that’s perfectly alright. Here’s the whole experience, gently from start to finish, so you can feel completely at ease before you book.

Two friends sit side-by-side on sage yoga mats in a Brisbane studio, each with a small bernedoodle puppy. Both are smiling and engaged with their puppy in a quiet candid moment between poses.
  1. 01

    Please arrive ten minutes early.

There’s tea waiting and a comfortable bench to settle into. We’ll gently ask you to sign one waiver, just once, on a tablet, and it only takes a minute or so. Do say hello to our welfare team as you come in, they’d love to meet you.

  2. 02

    A gently grounded start.

We’ll sit together, breathe, and slowly settle in. The puppies are in the room with us but kept separate at first, sleeping, eating, and quietly watching, so that these first ten minutes are wholly yours to enjoy.

  3. 03

Our puppies join you on the floor.

A handler gently opens the gate, and our Bernedoodle and Groodle puppies, six or seven weeks old, and here for just two or three studio sessions during their time with us, come through to say hello. Some will wander straight into a lap, some will keep snoozing, and some will simply potter off to play. We always let them choose. You’re welcome to keep flowing, and our team watches over them lovingly every single minute.

  4. 04

    A soft landing.

For the last ten minutes we open up the floor and ease into a long, restful savasana. You’re welcome to pat the puppies as much as you’d like, and to take a photo if you’ve opted in.

  5. 05

Thirty unhurried minutes with the puppies.

The class may end, but your time with us doesn’t. We’d love you to stay for refreshments, photos, and gentle floor-time with the puppies and our welfare team. Please do ask us anything, and feel welcome to linger as long as you like, right up to the half hour.

Voices from the mat

Kind words from our lovely guests.

  • I walked in nervous about my back and walked out with renewed energy and a little bernedoodle puppy snoozing nearby on the floor. I’ve been back every Saturday since.

  • A genuine pause in my week. The handlers really watch the puppies. Nobody is making them perform. That’s why I keep coming.

The questions we’re often asked

A few things our first-timers love to know.

We’d so love for you to arrive feeling settled and sure, so please ask us anything at all.

Full FAQ →

Do I need to know yoga?

Not at all. Most of our first-timers have never been to a class before, and you’re so welcome here. Every pose has a gentle version you can do lying down, on a chair, or simply by watching and breathing. There’s no one watching or judging, only space for you to settle in.

Are the puppies there the whole time?

For the floor portion, yes. We keep the first ten minutes calm and quiet, with the puppies in the room but resting away from the mats. Once the flow softens, our handler gently opens the gate so they can join you.

Will I get to pat the puppies?

You will, and we’d love that for you. The last ten minutes are open floor time, and some puppies happily wander into laps all on their own. We always let them lead, and they’re never asked to be on a mat.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself. We have mats, bolsters, blankets, and tea waiting for you. You’re very welcome to bring your own mat if you’d prefer, but there’s truly no need.
